The student representative elections are a highlight of life at our school. Several rounds of voting are held to elect class representatives, eco-representatives and representatives to the School Council, the CVC and the CVL.
These elections allow students to fully exercise their citizenship within the school by actively participating in school life. The candidates presented their projects and ideas to their classmates before the big vote.
🔹 Class representatives will act as spokespersons for their classmates with teachers and the educational team.
🔹 Eco-representatives will be responsible for getting involved in projects promoting sustainable development and encouraging eco-friendly behaviour.
🔹 School board representatives will take part in important decisions concerning school life and operations.
🔹 CVC (School Life Council) representatives represent their fellow students. Their role is to propose projects to improve life at their school and promote well-being, solidarity and citizenship. The CVC gives students a voice and teaches them to become responsible actors in their school environment.
🔹 The elected representatives of the CVL (Conseil de la Vie Lycéenne, or High School Student Council) represent the students in their dealings with the head teacher and the teaching staff. The elected representatives participate in discussions about the running of the school, the implementation of sporting or cultural projects, solidarity initiatives and the development of their school environment. The CVL is a body that encourages initiative and involvement in a variety of projects.
🔹 The elected representatives of the Promotion Committee are final-year students responsible for organising the highlights marking the end of their secondary school education. Their main mission is to design, prepare and coordinate events related to the graduating class, such as the graduation ceremony, end-of-year celebrations and the creation of class souvenirs.
These elections remind us that every student, whether in middle school or high school, can make their voice heard and actively contribute to school life.
Congratulations to all the elected students — and well done to all the candidates for their involvement !
